Youth Economic Empowerment

The Centre for Development Initiative (CDI) is committed to advancing youth economic empowerment in South Sudan by equipping young people with practical skills, tools, and opportunities to create sustainable livelihoods. Through targeted training programs, youth are supported to develop marketable products such as crafts, garments, processed foods, beauty items, and other locally made goods that enhance their income-generating potential.

CDI provides hands-on training in entrepreneurship, product development, financial literacy, and small business management, enabling young people to turn their skills into viable enterprises. To further promote visibility and market access, CDI organizes Youth Market Days and community exhibitions where young entrepreneurs can showcase and sell their products, connect with buyers, and learn from peers.

By fostering creativity, innovation, and economic independence, CDI’s youth empowerment initiatives help build a generation of confident, skilled, and self-reliant young people who can contribute meaningfully to South Sudan’s economic growth and stability.
